Happy 2021! As we work on our New Year’s Resolutions, we understand it is easy to fall off the commitment and determination you had from the beginning of the year (and from exactly one year ago!). We wanted to share with you our favorite tips for staying on the grind and creating long-lasting change!
1: Take things one day at a time.
Whether your goal is to lose weight or start a new business — stay ambitious and DREAM BIG! But nothing is ever achieved in one step.
Try breaking your resolutions into smaller, more attainable goals throughout the year. It’s more fun to check off multiple boxes than one!
2: Establishing an honest and healthy purpose for your goals.
Remember, you know yourself best! A great approach to stay committed to a resolution and create long-term results is to understand why you’re making the change in the first place.
For example, one might set a goal to lose weight while their purpose is to adopt a healthier lifestyle through a sustainable diet and exercise.
Before chasing a goal, check-in with yourself and ask how you hope to grow from your journey and why you want to reach your destination!
3: Take a Break!
It’s okay to rest! Changing habits is hard. So if you need to take a break — step back, breath, and relax.
Pushing your limits too far can strain your mind and body and add unnecessary toxic pressure to your process. It’s important to take these breaks as a moment of self-care rather than self-destruction.
