Q&A With Johnny
What is your source of inspiration?
In terms of music, it’s my favorite artists who inspire me. Artists I grew up on such as Green Day have always been a source of inspiration and seeing newer artists such as Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish come up has also been inspiring to me. I am also very much inspired by the idea of not having regrets in life. I don’t want to wonder in the future what might’ve happened if I tried a little harder at what I love. And for law school, I have a strong desire to be diversified in my skill set, so my inspiration as far as that goes are people who have had wide success in the entertainment industry as well as the field of law, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger.
What are your goals in life?
My short term goals are to finish law school and continue to put out music at a consistent rate. My long term goal is to do things that bring me fulfillment. Career wise, I love the creative industry too much to give up on it. I want to know that I gave it my all for a fair shot. In the words of Dan Campbell “I just wanna know that I did all I could with what I was given,” whatever that may look like for me down the line. And aside from my career goals, I’d certainly like to progress more in my personal life such as starting a family sometime in the near future!
What do you want to be remembered for?
I’d like to be remembered as a creative, open-minded person who was always there for the little guy.
What does FREESTYLE mean to you?
To me, freestyle means no regrets. It means do your thing while you can because there’s no time to waste. It means go with your gut and don’t look back.
